Organizing Your Bathroom at Our Apartments in Gainesville, FL

No matter how many times we clean our apartments, clutter always seems to find its way into our cabinets, onto our countertops, and into our drawers. One area that can often get neglected in the organizational process is the bathroom. This is where expired makeup piles up, nearly-empty bottles of soap clutters our showers, and hair care products are messily stashed in a cabinet. If this sounds like your bathroom, you may want to consider devoting some time to clearing out the clutter and reorganizing your space.

The first step in reorganizing your bathroom will be to clear out the clutter. Take the time to remove everything from your cabinets and drawers, laying them out on the floor to assess. Throw away anything that is expired. You’ll also want to consider throwing out anything you haven’t used or no longer have a need for. Then, you can begin to reorganize what is left. Here are some suggestions:

    • Medicine cabinet – Use your medicine cabinet to store everyday needs, such as skin and hair care products. This reduces the clutter on your counter, but also keeps these items easily accessible.
    • Under-sink cabinet – Invest in plastic containers to store appliances (like hair dryers, curlers, and electric razors), bulky items (like toilet paper, soap, and shampoo), and even bathroom cleaning supplies. Place these under your sink, so they are organized, but out of the way.
    • Countertop – You’ll want to keep your countertop as clutter-free as possible, but you may need to place some items here. Consider investing in glass jars for storing essentials like cotton balls and cotton swabs in a decorative fashion, or even using a tiered stand for storing lotion bottles, washcloths, or jewelry.

All of the above organizational tips can be easily implemented at our apartments in Gainesville, Florida. Our bathrooms are spacious and feature color-coordinated walls and trim, ceramic tile floors and backsplashes, and wood cabinetry. “The scenery and space is amazing. The apartment leasing staff and maintenance staff are wonderful. I love that its a gated community and all though it's family and student oriented it's still extremely quiet.”

“We just moved in about a month ago. We had maintenance in so many times trying to get things set up for my disabled son - but they never complained. The grounds are beautiful. The people in the office are always polite and helpful. Very happy here.”
